About The Irvine Times
We’re a local newsroom built around one simple idea: community stories deserve sharp reporting and a human voice. The Irvine Times brings neighbors, culture, civic life, and everyday wins into clear focus.

Our mission
Stay local. Stay informed.
The Irvine Times exists to make local news feel essential, approachable, and worth reading. We cover the stories that shape daily life in Irvine, from city decisions and school updates to business openings, arts events, and neighborhood conversations.
Our editorial approach blends credibility with personality. We believe strong reporting can be rigorous without sounding distant, and that a modern local paper should help readers feel more connected to the place they call home.
Community focus
Rooted in Irvine
We pay attention to the people, places, and ideas that give Irvine its rhythm. That means spotlighting community leaders, covering public meetings, sharing cultural moments, and helping readers discover what’s happening across the city.
Whether the story is serious, celebratory, or simply useful, we aim to publish work that feels timely, readable, and genuinely local. We’re here to help residents keep up, dig deeper, and feel part of the conversation.
